Considering the short amount of time it's been online, most definitely.

Me = fail, lol, I think I'll refrain, mine would most likely end up abusive...

It doesn’t matter - as long as the words are yours, and you can communicate well. If more send emails, then they will get a better idea of feeling, and it won’t look as it it’s just me

Ok, here's the e-mail, just want a proof read before I send it. | | | | Quote: Dear Pete Wootton, This e-mail has been sent to you in regards to your rather ridiculous act of removing the CPC forums, as well as ‘The Meeting Place’. Please take the time to read this e-mail and absorb what is being said, it may benefit you in the long run. At 4:30 on 24th April, you ‘pulled the plug’ on the Dennis forums (PCPro, Mac User, CPC etc.), we knew about the CPC forums being closed down and ‘replaced’ with the Bit-Tech site. Whilst we knew about it, we did not understand it, no formal letter was given, no decent explanation, instead you left it to the editor (Alex Watson), he had to deal with an entire forum and respond to any questions asked without any solid explanation, whilst you sat in your office/car/home mulling over how else you can screw us over. I understand that you may not have felt this way, but it certainly did for us users. If you ever looked at the forums, you would have seen a strong, thriving community, one that would have been prosperous if it were allowed to carry on. Whilst Bit-Tech is a brilliant site allowing computing fans to read up on the latest hardware, join in on the forum, didn’t CPC have the same thing? Many of us will agree, you obviously didn’t. This may seem like I am just arguing for the side of the CPC forum, and I am partially, 2 years of being a member has taught me a lot. What really is annoying is the removal of ‘The Meeting Place’, it was a forum where your readers of all the magazines could gather, talk, laugh and generally have a good time, if you looked at some of the threads which were posted in there you would realise that people helped each other out, whether it be relationship problems, heating, eBay, there was everything. You have chosen to remove this connection, which may I say, and I believe many people will agree, was a very bad move on your part. May I now bring your attention to this site, http://www.x404.co.uk. This site has been set up in response to your decision. You removed the meeting place, so we’ve made a new one, and it took the administrator all of a day to set up and run, this is one man, not a dev team. This site has currently got 143 members and in excess of 155,000 hits, this is in one day. This forum may be young, but the tech support I can gain from the other members is still the same as what I could have obtained from your forums, the reason why? The vast majority of those 143 current members are members from the Dennis forums, and I doubt many of them will be returning. I know I won’t be, you have lost what was once a dedicated ‘forumite’, you may have also lost on my custom when it comes to buying the magazines you publish. Hopefully you can take what I have told you onboard, listen to it, and maybe reconsider your actions regarding the removal of ‘The Meeting Place’. But for now? I shall continue to post on Bit-Tech, but will also attempt to focus most over my time at http://www.x404.co.uk. I think I speak for everyone when I ask you to respond to any messages received, and hopefully this large feeling of betrayal can me forgotten. | | | | |

Umm, "I understand you may not have felt that way, but we users certainly felt that." "Didn't CPC have the same thing? Many of us believe so, you obviously didn't" "155,000 hits, all in just one day" Not much, it was pretty good to start with.
