When I have time to prepare it properly (and the stuff) I like (equally) Marmite, spread thinly and with cheese on top, or peanut butter, with jam on top and sliced banana on top of that.

When I'm eating toast in a hurry, which is most of the time, I stick to either Marmite or Peanut Butter.

Mmmmm Toast

Toast if my fave ever! I could eat a loaf of toast. Hahah.

Butter is normally my fave. Good old Welsh salted butter, on some thick brown bread.

NOM NOM NOM

Jame, if I'm feeling adventurous.

Marmite on one slice. Peanut Butter on another.

I voted Marmite, as if I was only having one piece of toast, that's most likely what I would go for.

Bish, you wouldn't happen to be my friend is disguise would you? He eats toast in multiples of four...He'll usually have 12 or 16 slices in one helping...

I think my favourite is peanut butter, spread thickly with a cup of tea.
How on earth do you get a cup of tea to spread your peanut butter?
Or did you mean you like the tea on the toast as well? Wouldn't that make the bread all soggy and impossible to pick up? (8+p

*sigh*

Pie on toast sounds like a challenge to me!

back in my student days, I once had a pie sandwich. Cheese and veg pie squashed between two slices of buttered bread. It was rather dry.

Not sure if this counts. But in school, we used to have what was called a pasty roll.

Hot pasty, in a buttered roll. with lots of tomato sauce.

It was rather plesant I must say. Filled me up for a week though.

Just butter on piping hot toast most of the time. Or if I feel like messing about, no butter and Nutella. Mmmmm
