I generally just watch Anime. I've watched a few Chinese films here and there and seen a load of Chinese TV series so i usually "prefer" my live action stuff to be in English.

Magical Kyouko Flame? I've kinda meandered off anime with only two shows being followed now "OreNoImouto" and "AmagamiSS"... Just kinda waiting for the Haruhi movie to come out on DVD and then watch that... also apparently there are Season 1 Blu-rays released so yay . No Index has reminded me how little rewatch value the series had (i tried it once and failed on the first episode) and the Second Season gives off the same vibes such that it's as if i'm watching the first season all over again ;>. I'll probably go on a binge, since i prefer watching episodes back to back instead of having to wait.

Well I am kinda hoping for motto MKF, because I thought it was so incredibly lame it was fun. I may be in a minority there - but I'm following Motto To LOVE-Ru and I will always love it. I'm rather enjoying Ore No Imouto now too, but I think I prefer Princess Jellyfish which has vaguely similar themes... provided you don't mind traps. For the Haruhi movie, for the love of... don't download any old thing off TPB because it's probably the pr0n! Bad pr0n is bad and I repent my crime now Regarding Index and rewatch value, there's not a single animé series I've rewatched except SE Lain. I may rewatch Elfen Lied and a couple of others, but I just don't rewatch stuff. That goes for animé films, Red Dwarf and pretty much anything from Hollywood or whatever. I need at least 10 years between viewings or it just bugs me. Saying that, I've seen some of the Ghiblis several times - and my only real problem there is keeping my gob shut so I don't ruin it for everyone else in the room Index II is still pretty cool, but it's not as good as the first series and tbh most of my mates just fap over Railgun.

It was most definitely hilarious... i enjoyed TLR when i first watched it but now after watching more anime i kind of recognise that its quality isn't quite up there with the rest of them... watchable yes, but nothing's really drawn me to watch it atm. I keep reading good things from the blog about Kuragehime, but the art style from the screen caps doesn't quite appeal... it's more of a "realistic" art style but with traditional/dull/earth-y colours. The best way i could describe it is similar to "Kimi ni Todoke", and whilst i wasn't a fan of the art style, the colouring was much more vibrant and punchy (with some pastel elements) that made it more aesthetically pleasing to watch (imo). + I'm not really a fan of traps ... i might check it out when i'm bored and after i've finished anything/everything else i'm watching. Lol, i generally don't use TPB at all, there are much better places for solely anime and are pretty much always the real thing. Not that i'd ever consider doing anything like that... forum rules and all . Hmmm... there are only a few series that i could rewatch, but only if i were to do it in terms of randomly watching an episode over food. The main ones that come to mind are Lucky Star! and Hayate no Gotoku! (only the first season though) since they're both mainly episodic and full of parodies and humour that i rarely remember exactly what happens in each episode. Next up there are quite a lot of series that i would like to rewatch, but only if i was to watch them with a friend. This would include Clannad, Kanon, Ef, Code Geass and Haruhi (probably a few others). Lmao... i'd try to watch it for BiriBiri but maybe it's because she didn't really appear in the first few episodes that i got bored . I guess it's also that i was spoiled by the Misaka + Comedy + Action combination that was "No Railgun", which i still haven't finished either.

I believe JJ's a fan of the series, so he can tell you his opinion. I, on the other hand watched the first episode and it didn't really click with me, tend to prefer the "lighter", less psychological stuff . What's been your opinion of the Bount arc so far? I wasn't too bothered by it when watching it through, but looking back i can see that IMO it doesn't quite live up to the Manga Original arcs.

Nowhere near as gripping as the Soul Society arc, but it's okay.

I've watched every series. They get progressively sillier, but I was definitely a big fan. I also have the entire OST which I particularly liked. I gave it 9/10 http://jjw009.myanimelist.net/

Thanks. There are not many episodes of the live-action version so I might give them a go and then watch the anime. I can see the live-action series getting quite repetitive and I've only seen three. Good to see Spirited Away scored a 10 on your list.

/test test EDIT: Hmm seems like my original post has issues. EDIT 2: Seems like the forum doesn't like this "Star" character that's supposed to be in between "Madoka" and "Magica" So another year, another season of Anime. What are people looking forward to in the coming season? - Preview HereI quickly dropped quite a few shows last season that whilst i enjoyed, i couldn't be bothered to watch. I get a little spoiled after going on a marathon of series' (be it TV or Anime) and anything that i couldn't care for waiting every week i ended up dropping (namely Hyakka Ryouran and The World God Only Knows. Now that all the episodes are out i might get around to watching them in a row, however the latter seems to lack the charm and/or polish of the manga which i'm following. Now anyways, with a new season of anime, i can hopefully pick more shows back up since i essentially cut down to just 2 (OreNoImo and Amagami SS) and should really get back on track. My personal picks for next season are: Dragon Crisis - Looks like a standard Shounen affair, but with Kugimiya Rie and Horie Yui cast in what seems like the two lead female roles i'd be stupid to not give it a chance . The male lead has quite a few popular roles under his belt (TWGOKs, Mitsudomoe, Ef, Baka to Test etc.) but then, i don't really follow/know male Seiyuu's lol. Fractale - Apparently this is from the director of Lucky Star and Haruhi, which means that i'll be a sheep and follow the crowd for a few episodes. Judging by the promo pictures it doesn't seem like my thing but you never know, it could be good. The director's even promised to retire if its not a success, if he wants to risk his career for it then who am i to deny him his chance . Freezing! - Another Shounen affair but this appears to be more Ecchi. What caught my attention however is that this isn't actually based on Japanese Manga however, but on Korean Manwha (their equivalent). Most of the Korean Manhwa's i picked up to read have generally been rather decent (in fact, some of them better that most manga's i've read) so i was surprised that i hadn't heard or picked this up. Anyhow, i've yet to flick through the Manhwa but i shall do so after this post and maybe elaborate later. EDIT 3: Read through all the available chapters i could find (~37 of them). First off am really surprised this is actually a Manhwa, the style seems pretty much indistinguishable from Manga. Also, the one thing that bugged me with Manhwa's were the Korean names which i haven't gotten used to yet, however this uses Japanese naming conventions. As such, i probably wouldn't be able to tell that it wasn't Japanese at all. With regards to the story i'd be interested to see how they adapt it. It's very typical Shounen and i think it does a good job of portraying how everyone has their own principles they adhere to and it does the whole "Good" people aren't necessarily completely good whilst "Bad" people aren't necessarily bad. It's also rather violent and touches upon (/seems to suggest) some more Mature/Adult themes so i wonder how much of that will actually be adapted. Gosick - Again, something that doesn't initially seem my type being more mystery orientated, however since it's Bones who are the production company it should be of a reasonably good quality. IS: Infinite Stratos - Again, Shounen, Ecchi, Harem, High School/Academy, Mechas... sounds like my type of thing TBH. 8bit studios wasn't something i'd heard of before, however apparently they're responsible for the Macross F series that aired last year (ugh, i mean 2009) or earlier this year (2010) and a movie that came out during last season or the one before that. From what i heard of the series it had rather high production values which are always something i look for so heres hoping that this will be good. Mahou Shoujo Madoka*Magica - Yeah, one of those shows i'll be following like a sheep. After Bakemonogatari, i always take the time to at least check out Shaft's productions in the hope of something unique as it. Moshidora - It's sounds really similar to Giant Killing but with regards to baseball and a female manager. I enjoyed the manga of the latter although i didn't really get into the anime much. Like others, i'll give this a try for the first few episodes. So what are everybody's plans? I assume JJ you'll watching Kimi Ni Todoke 2 and Mitsudomoe Zouryouchuu!? And for some reason i see you following Mahou Shoujo Madoka*Magica?

Just watched The Diamond Dust Rebellion. It's okay, but not as good as Memories Of Nobody.

I was tidying up some lose ends last night, but didn't get as far as looking at the new season. However, your assumptions are all correct. Mahou & Shoujo are my favourite two words
