Isn't Aspartate ?

+ Don't know much about it... i think it's a natural amino acid or something ? Maybe a product of one or at least similar ¬.¬ (i feelstupid for not knowing this... i'm even doing biomedical sciences at uni lol).

Anyhow quite a few of my friends say how it's bad for you but i think that as with all things it's only in large quantities... i for one can't be asked a) researching it or b) checking to see what stuff has it lol.

well i know a few ppl who have adverse reactions to it... sends them a bit mental [though with you who'd notice :p]... if you think you're having a reaction to it avoid it... but like you said... it seems to be in practically everything now...

Well worth avoiding if you can.
Had a friend wind up in A&E with aspartame poisoning, and it's not much fun.

My bad, Aspartame is a modification of Aspartate which is the amino acid. Wikipedia knows all =]

Why do people drink such crap anyway?

Seriously what you have to think about is that it isn't Natural? And it's bount to have some adverse side effects?

Get some water, get some natural squash.

Put some lemon in your water, oranges anything you like.

Christ, get a coffee!

Just stop drinking such crap. And we wonder why there are soo many diseases in this world, in the UK alone. And we wonder why people are so fat?

Caffeine is carcinogenic and addictive!
limonene (found in citris fruits) is a skin and respiratory irritant with a role in sensatisation.

I have been scoffing oranges etc. for four decades, and this information was given to my last year at my asthma review. Oranges, I was told, are a trigger. news to me, I said. The only time I can remember being affected by an orange type drink was orange squash in the 1970’s which was more colours and flavourings than having anything to do with fruit.

I am now unsure whether I should continue eating them or avoid them. I’m actually keeping on eating them. Maybe I should ask about allergy testing next time as I really don’t know what specific food triggers I am susceptible to. They had better not be anything I like.

I hate all this alergy stuff. There is always something new that could set it off, apparently. It’s winding me up more than knowing I have asthma.... :x

FWIW, the asthma is under control, and has been for about 20 years now.

All this stuff is staring to bug me, all the 'healthy' stuff is bad for you, and all the fast food gives you AIDS or something equally as pleasant, seriously, I think people should just stick 2 fingers up at this, just eat what you want, exercise, I mean, did our ancestors really worry about it? No, that's fine for me then!

Here's an example of what I mean, and I'll use myself as an example here:

I work at McDonalds (please, feel free to laugh, I do to), about 4 shifts a week, each day there I end up eating the crap they serve. Yeah, it's not healthy (well 90% of it isn't), but I regularly go out cycling, I can run rings around most people in Taekwon-Do, it's all about how it's eaten in moderation, and how often exercise is undertaken. This whole 'nanny' state we live in now is just plain ridiculous. Guessing apples are bad? How about bananas?
