Hopefully the picture quality will be better than the trailer, very low bit-rate and lots of artefacting... Still, some of the scenes did look very good...

I (eventually) had the trailer at what Google/Youtube says is 1080p - looked alright to me :D

+1, the 1080p version looked brilliant o'er here.

I had a lot of pixelation and artefacting, especially on the dark scenes, at 1080p.

This was the first film I went to see multiple times at the Cinema when it first came out, 3 times in one week at one point, each day with different lady 8-) .

So will have to take the wife on a date and relive my teenage years.

Well where is it then?

I've just checked several local cinemas and can't find any mention of it. Has the release been delayed or are they avoiding the west country? ;)

EDIT: They're avoiding the west country - just saw it listed on Odeon etc. :(

Hardly. It's in Plymouth and in screen 9, which is pretty much the best screen from here to London. Frustrating that it's not in Cornwall, but not really unexpected.

You sure? I spoke to the manager of our local and the consensus is, it was a limited week long release and the distributors wanted it to occupy a single screen for that entire week. Which is basically why they passed on it.

Hmmmm, interesting.

Having just checked Empire Leicester Square, they have a longer run as well. Perhaps some people bought into it more than others :(

Vue only seem to be doing a week long run, which ties in with what my local told me.

We saw it on Friday. Love that film. And now I can say I've seen it in the cinema and was born in 1989. How messed up is that???
