Definitely sending as many positive vibes to the north west as I can spare.

Morning.

The seasons are turning. Summer's spluttering to an end.

At least I have a little work to keep me occupied. For a day or so.

Onwards and sideways.

For some reason I feel a weird sense of impending doom this morning despite the weather being bright and sunny outside. Despite this, I too will be channeling what positivity I can spare and beaming it in a Manchesterly direction.

At least it is a short working week :)

Poor you! (Although I do rank BHI higher than Reading, but then I rank stations that have been closed 40 years higher than Reading!)

It's sunny! And rather cool, just my kind of weather. I really like it at this time of year - not too hot, reasonable chance of sunshine and it isn't getting dark at about 3 in the afternoon.

Have a great day folks.

Morning all,

Feeling much better today. Got into work at 5am only to find I didn't have a key to the office, I've been camping out in the car for the last two hours
On the way to work today, I saw a disturbing amount of rabbits lying in the road  Over the last month I've seen one badger and a bird on the road between home and work, over night four rabbits have been hit...

It wasn't that bad actually. There is nothing at Brummy International which means there are few people, thus plenty of seats and few questions directed at me (I wear a high-vis which seems to mean I know everything...)

Morning all,

I've been trying LastPass, after a recommendation on Security Now, it is a great tool for remembering passwords, when you are working on more than one machine. I'd been using the Windows program PasswordSafe until now, but, of course, it doesn't work on Linux or OS X, but LastPass is cloud based, but fully encrypted - if you lose your master password, you will need to create a new account, as the password is your key to unencrypting your database, but it is never stored on their website and they have no way of working out what your master password is (other than brute-force). Steve Gibson did a lot of research into it and the security around the encryption sounds very good and there don't seem to be any holes... That said, I won't be storing passwords to financial sites on it!

But given the 60 or so passwords I have for different accounts, LastPass is a great tool. So I'll be slowly transferring everything over and setting up stronger passwords on some accounts.

Edit: Cack! I hate the new board! I posted this ages ago and have since answered a couple of other posts, only to see this hung, because somebody posted whilst I was writing mine!
