I loved it but boyfriend wasn't so keen. he likes butternut squash but not a soup made form it

I'm the same, I don't like the consistency of butternut squash when it's made into a soup. I was talking to the chef at my sister's pub as he makes a lovely butternut squash soup and he says you have to use a very fine moulis.

Is that a posh word for a sieve? If so learn something every day.

Must admit the recipe did say keep some stock back so you can add more liquid and I didn't strain it.

Live and learn.

Sort of, more of a mechanical sieve!

It's a combination between a sieve and a grinder. You have the sieve underneath and then a handle you turn round horizontally that pushes whatever you're cooking through the sieve and kind of mushes it up at the same time. Me, I'd just use a food processor, much less elbow grease.

Ah yes, but that doesn't make nice butternut squash soup!

No access to kids lol and if I did they would eat whatever meals I prepare.

Exactly. I've never got the concept of "kids' food" or "kids' recipes", except when the latter were for kids to prepare themselves (supervised). Since I started eating real food (rather than just stealing when people weren't looking - Muahahaha!) I've eaten the same as my parents or anyone else.

Okay if you want to be pretentious call it fish in satay and tomato sauce in a wholemeal bap. ;)

Good man! Has to be done. Apparently I was on chinese food at 3 months old and as I sat at the table in the restaurant my eyes were as big as saucers. My love of food has continued every since!

Tried Hairy Bikers / Hajinder's Chicken Curry at the weekend and it was lovely. Served it with toasted pita and thai fragrant rice. Yum!
The basic curry sauce can be used with any meat. Now we have any spices there'll be no stopping us!
Will post it below as x404 giving me sql errors

I had a telephone interview for Come Dine With Me, but I've had to tell them I can't do it because I've torn my achilles tendon.

You would've been the second person I know to have been on the show.
