Thought I hadn't seen you here in a while Lou!

Had a fairly relaxing weekend - some working, went out with a friend on Sunday to go fishing, ended up driving around the coast and having a bite to eat, then heading home, good day though. Won $400 (profit) at the Casino last night too which was nice.

Didn't sleep too well last night, seems to be a flu going around work at the moment, (yeah it's winter for us) so I don't feel great in general.

Supposed to be training for a run next month too, guess I'll have to just take it easy this week!

Enjoy your day. 8-)

Morning all,

incredibly hot weekend. Already over 25°C outside. We had mid 30s (Berlin had 40°C yesterday, in the shade).

I've been taking refuge in the cellar for the past week, with the bedroom being around 31-33°C over night!

The dog is really not feeling his normal self. :( He is taking it worse than us, not surprising, considering his thick fur!)

Morning.

It's raining here. What a relief.

Onwards and sideways!

I was thinking it's been a while since I'd seen either one of you around... glad you're both OK!

Morning all,

Back at work, after being off on Friday, (something I ate) and I'm off to Cleckheaton this evening for a DR project, returning to sunny Manchester on Thursday evening... Should be fun!

Oh well, back to work I suppose. I also need to find out why my "colleague" decided to assign 12 calls to my personal queue while I wasn't even in... He's going to get some grief today...

Edit to add: No I won't as apparently he's not in today...

Have a great day everyone.

:)

Morning all.

Most enjoyable weekend, between some gaming with friends, the F1 and the final of the World Cup.

Now back in work (although don't start for another 15 minutes).

19 days and counting...

Lo peeps

Life is in plummet mode at the moment so apologies for the grumpier than usual attitude :( Normal grumpyness will be resumed as soon as possible.........

Afternoon folks.

I'm really starting to wonder if it will ever rain again round here. There were a few spots this morning but compared with the deluge those nasty lying weather people told us to expect it was a distinct let down.
Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about cutting the grass at the moment.

Have a great day folks, whatever the weather.

We had a mini-tornado in the garden yesterday. We'd seen the storm coming and we went out and moved all the furniture under the stall and I put the stakes back in the ground for the pavillion, which the girls had moved at the weekend and not re-staked...

A few minutes later, I was sitting in the lounge, when a strange noise started outside, I looked outside and the pavillion was nearly lifting off the ground and all the dust and leaves were blowing round in a big circle in the garden, I called the dog in and shut the door, then slammed the windows shut, but it didn't really pick up, it died down again a few seconds later...

Then we had a big storm and torrential rain.

The air is certainly a lot clearer this morning, but it is still way too hot!

More tornados and thunder storms expected towards the end of the week.

Helgoland had a real tornado yesterday, causing a lot of havoc and damage.

I've also got my first interview next week! :)

Not much sleep after the towering inferno last night.
Today will be long

Morning.

It is morning, isn't it?

*checks outside window and sees daylight*

Thought so.

Had a badly disrupted sleep last night, so I'm not functioning at full capacity today. Achey and grumpy, though that's fairly normal.

Anyway, let's get things going.
