I can't be the only person who quite likes them, surely? Not enough to actually buy anything, but I'll probably give the freebee a listen. Although, I said that last time and never got around to it

I personally detest them - Martin makes Axel Rose sound like he's classically-trained, their songs have little substance and/or Godawful lyrics, they're a bunch of climate change w@nkers, and to top it all, C*nt FM over here never stop playing their drivel They're basically U2, only they haven't even got past glories to rely on

Thanks for the link, I actually like Coldplay I own three of their albums, but I don't know whether they have released any more than that. I like a lot of alternative stuff, I can't stand all that drugged up to the eyeballs on pills etc. music.

I'd need to be drugged up for Coldplay, and I'm talking weapons-grade 'gear' If you're talking about dance music (or whatever term it goes under this week ), I don't see the appeal either - we can only hope it's victims grow out of it

I more settle for any type of music.. its the artist that matters ATM best have gotta be: Elton John (classic..) Santana (Santana's guitar truely does sing/cry) Eminem (when Im feeling moody lol) Rammstein (Till's voice is uber sexy when he tries, such as in Seemann, wow im intouch with my...urmm i dont know what side that would be...) Although i do abstain from screamo and opera. So coldplay fits right in..

Yes they're very much in that style. I absolutely love U2's best material, so I don't see that as a problem. Name one other "Christian Rock" genre band that's even worth the effort of clicking a link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8J2uYVdC6S4Don't bother playing it if you don't have half decent sound. You need to feel that bass in your chest. They're 100x better than Coldplay, but 1% genius is still better than 99% of the untalented sh*t out there. Anyone who disrespects U2 needs to listen to them properly on decent head phones, or really loud on decent speakers. Coldplay are a pale imitation; but they're the best damned pale imitation out there.

First of all, there's usually a couple of tracks off each U2 album that I like, I don't hate them or anything Secondly, I've never even considered them 'Christian Rock' - the thought never even entered my head, and I wouldn't really say that they are With the exception of Martin and his singing, I'd say the other members of Coldplay are probably (technically at the very least) quite gifted. It's just, on the whole, I think it sounds like dreary sh1te for the most part I've an awful feeling many Coldplay album buyers get it to say they own it, then listen to it twice at best...
