The crash commentary was really getting on my nerves. They kept going on about Heikki competing, of course he was competing FFS it's a race!
Interesting to see if the Red Bull flails towards the end of the race... It seems to be.

I'm hoping the German gets a puncture or hits a wall or something!

Kobayashi just took Alonso, he's had a great race. Alonso will be fizzing - he's had a crap home GP. Kobayashi got Buemi on the last corner too, hes's had a storming race.

I don't like Alonso - he's like a spoilt brat most of the time. Now the GP is over, it's onto BBC One for the football!

Agreed, he is a miserable so and so, with all the charisma of a wet flannel. Yup, come on England.

That in car footage of the crash was mind blowing.

true..... 5 second penalty for all the speeders during safety car period btw, hasn’t changed the results much.

I think that it would be hard to heavily penalise the drivers after the race. It would upset the results something rotten and, when all said and done, the penalty awarded to Lewis Hamilton for a Safety Car offence didn't make all that much difference in that he did, at least, hold his position. It's hard to tell with Lewis Hamilton. He is very aggressive and I hope that what he did with the safety car exiting the pit lane was a mistake/confusion, as I really like him and wouldn't want to start viewing him as a pr**k As for the Webber accident, WOW! It did make an otherwise reasonably dull race that bit more interesting. I agree with David Coulthard that there is no point in those who will end up as back markers holding up a potentially race-winning car, but I do wholeheartedly agree with Eddie Jordan that the all the drivers and teams have earned their place on the track and that no driver has a God-given right to pass another car fighting for position. (apart from lapping- just to clarify) I note that they are (re) introducing the 107% rule for next year. I remember this from the past (it might or might not have been 107, but whatever). I remember a few cars would fail to qualify during that period, but one of the BBC team (can't recall which one) noted that all would have qualified this weekend with the rule in place. I am enjoying this season, but I was not impressed with Valencia. I can't recall what Jerez was like, but it can't have been as dull as this race circuit.

+1 They are all in the same class. I agree with Eddie over David.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I don't think it's that much of a crazy idea, if it helps safety.
They were talking about it in the race, saying that one rule they could (re)implement would mean that what ever lap time the top boy sets in quali, there would be a minimum standard set from it and any cars who don't make it, don't make it.
That seems fair enough to me.

Yes but all the cars yesterday would have been within the 107%
