I don't have a particular favourite but I saw Ed Byrne do a quick set on TV. It was about women asking men "What are you thinking?" Wife016 asks me this at least once a day so it really did hit home as well as being hilarious.

Very funny. Saw the repeat of him on Live at the Apollo a few nights ago on TV. Reminded me how funny he was. I might have to invest in a DVD. Suprised no one else has mentioned Frankie Boyle. Has anyone seen his DVD?

Oh, Russel Howard is the other guy on the same billing as Jason Statham at the Apollo. He was really good, although he took a bit of time to get into his stride, once he did it was brilliant!!

I can't stand him. He just throws insults at people and waits for everyone to laugh sympathetically at him.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005458/Are you sure you mean Jason Statham? Never thought he was a comedian. Seth Rogan is pretty funny, seen a vid of his standup when he was 13. http://entertainment.todaysbigthing.com/2009/04/22

He is funny, there's no doubt, but he needs new material for his stand up shows.

It's funny how we read things in our heads... looking at your post, and the voice in my head which read it to me, the only reply is... And I think you should send your butler round to give him a damned good thrashing, what?

He does a cheap 'new-material-tryout-thing' in Bath every month. Annoyingly it's sold out until I've left, but maybe if I come back whilst on my placement I may go. Edd
