It does. You don't see the text telling you you have a new private message? Mark

What exactly do you get when you click the link? I get: Note the phpBB copyright notice as a footer. If that's not what you get, then maybe you've managed to adblock it or something?

That's the sort of thing I'd have expected, but it appears to be some sort of FF problem, turned off all ad-blockers etc, no joy. It works however in IE7 or whatever disaster M$ have installed. Oh, the shame

I wonder will the DSG try to blame any poor sales on England's World Cup performance?

Only if we get past the qualifiers.

The Cosmic Joker sent us a football today.
It arrived in a cubic cardboard box, and before it was opened, I quipped it could be a football. I had a jolly good laugh when it turned out it actually was.
I think it's a Co-operative Fair Trade promotion or something, since we are Co-Op members. Without any supporting material, though, it came as a bit of surprise.
Anyone want a soccer ball? Still wrapped, at postage cost? (Actually, we're more likely to donate it to the family over the way.)

Soccer < Association < Association Football. The moniker is as old as the game, from what I can glean. Okay, it's labelled "Machine made in Pakistan. Official size and weight." It's Size 5, spherical and full of air, stitched panels. It's quite smart, in black, white and green. If you'd like it, let me know.
