Is it due to the lens or the Camera though?

the only other person in my town that I know who has an SLR is onemac but he had a sony SLR then changed to a Canon and the tamron one I got is only a nikon fit, damn you Al maybe the company sent me a canon tamron lens by mistake? I could up to the RAF runway and ask people there as theres lots of nikon SLR users there

I don't think so. It just wouldn't easily fit without the use of a Yorkshire screwdriver. Was it new or second hand? Have you contacted the company that sold it to you? May be worth doing if you're up that way, but it does seem to be a lens problem, doesn't it?

I don't think a Canon mount would even fit on a Nikon camera. That's why adapter rings are necessary. Mark

You could always post it to me and if I like it, I mean if it doesn't work I'll even responsibly dispose of it for you! :etc:

I believe John already has a 70-300. Also from earlier in this thread. So you found it then?

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Is it full frame or DX? If it's full frame I might like it. Mark
