Thank you. Some bloody sense.

I've been at the beach all day, then went to another beach and had a drink at a bar whilst watching the sunset. Absolutely glorious day!

Stop your bloody moaning.

I love this weather!

I just wish it would hang around all year!

I can't stand the cold.

Been to 2 barbecues this weekend and been playing in the garden with my sister all day :D

It would seem you have a different metabolism or something. You clearly have absolutely no idea how miserable this unbearable weather makes some people, or you would be more sympathetic.

At least when it's cold you can put more clothes on. There's simply no escaping the heat and I've been seriously close to wanting to kill myself just to escape the pain.

It wouldn't be so bad if I could lie motionless in a slight breeze with an endless supply of cold drinks, but working in the heat is murder.

Given how much I enjoy the heat (last time when I went on holiday with my GF I got terrible prickly heat from the first day) I shall be giving my semi formal presentation for my dissertation in tshirt and shorts to prevent the wearing of jeans and heavy clothes making me sweat more than Rik Waller running after a kebab van

I found that the best solution is to invert the day. I get very active at night when it is very hot, and sleep during the day. I find that I get a lot done because no one is ringing and I can run around in my trunks doing the paperwork, filing and cleaning. It plays havoc with the body clock in terms of when to eat etc but I can switch back and forwards depending on the weather so it is not too bad. I have yet to be stopped by the neighbours mowing the lawn at 4 am or something just as crazy.

LOL, this kind of thing is a problem.

I have an electric mower and I'm at work from 8am until 6pm weekdays. This dictates I can only cut the grass when it is not raining and when I'm not at work. I also generally prefer not to cut the grass in the dark, but I could easily fit head lights.

Slightly off topic, I personally hate being woken up at 7am by people doing noisy jobs and a friend of mine who works late hours in a pub once suggested that there is nothing wrong with cutting the lawn at 4am. If neighbours can make noise in the mornings and wake me up, then what's the difference?

Surely doing something noisy at 4am you're risking the wrath of the Police, or Environmental Health?

JJ, I don't mean to be unsympathetic, but come on - it's bloody gorgeous out there atm. Granted it can be uncomfortable at work and when I got back to the flat last night having been away for 24hrs with no windows open it was 28 degrees in here! That said, the pros more than outweigh the cons. We live in one of the wettest coldest bits of the Western world and when this happens it's a blessing. Al's right, it won't be around for long, so I've made the most.

Gonna try to get out every evening until it changes tbh. This is too good to moan about or miss.

I'm with JJ. Even taking as many reasonable steps as possible, I still find myself sweating buckets if I even so much as think hard, let alone actually do something physical.

So you're sweating buckets at work. Yeah, it's uncomfortable and tiresome, but at least you can make the most of your evenings. No? I'd be down at the river or the quay sipping a pint and watching the world go by. Or dare I say it, at the Lighter in Topsham.

I just can't believe that people would moan when it's so rare in this part of the world. Especially down here.

One thing I've noticed is that the better my level of physical fitness, the less I sweat.

Been too hot for the last week, and these last few days have been unbearable...Had an exam on Saturday which meant sitting for two hours in sweaty clothes and just being very hot. Another exam today in an even smaller space with no air conditioning, it will be "delightful"...

I'm hot, lethargic, tired, sweaty...And I've just had a shower

I honestly can't understand why people love this time of year.

Ummm, coz sunshine makes you feel good?

If it's so unbearable for everybody, move to Scotland, or Scandinavia. I'm not saying it's perfect for everyday situations, but try to make the most, it'll be gone again soon.

I'm bloody loving it, though feeling slightly fluey and washing and waxing my old car for six hours on Saturday nearly pushed me to my limits.
