Debra definitely should have been fired. Peter.

Agree, Debra really gets on my tits (especially this week)! Although I wouldn't have shed any tears if James went either.

Clearly, Sir Alan is probably going to fire all three that went to the boardroom tonight, but on the strength of her performance in this task, it was Mona's turn tonight. I am really starting to favour Kate or Howard to go all the way. Sir Alan seemed to be impressed with Howard's work tonight and fair enough, he admitted that he hadn't had the opportunity to really get stuck in before now.

Every week I watch this, I become more and more convinced that these people are getting fixed up.
Who is going to say "I'm not really that bothered about it" on camera, trying to promote his business as much as he can in this crucial time? Certainly not (Last weeks episode)
Debra should have gone.
Mona and James were the party that should have deffinatly stayed.
In previous tasks, the person who fooked up the design, went. Take Kim for example. She did the designing of the cereal box. She went, because of the design on the cereal box.
So where does this justify for Debra? Debra clearly made her task into porridge. Her posters looked like something a 5 year old could do on powerpoint, and my god, have the no sense at all?
It's like watching a bunch of monkeys in suits, trying to sell something.
I want to go on there, and show them actually HOW to do it. God.

Go for it, bish. I agree that Deborah was at fault for that task, and as such, should have gone, but as others have said, I think both her and James will go at some point in the near future anyway. IMO Deborah should go next, purely on the basis that she talks down to everyone, even Sir Allan, and that attitude, certainly in my opinion, should not be tolerated. Howard and Kate are my favourites to win, but I think the sour faced one (whose name I forget) could also be in with a chance now. It's certainly getting interesting.

What is the next task anyway?

The next task is selling product for babies (and birthing apparently) at a massive exhibition.
And the sour-faced one is Lorraine.

Purely for the sake of entertainment I am glad that Mona went. For whatever reason she seemed to have trouble forming grammatically correct sentences and felt the need to insert the persons name at random into every sentence. Most irritating. That leaflet and poster campaign was pretty lame mind. I have taught 14 year old kids who could have done far better. It makes you wonder where they find these people.

Sir Alan is giving them wide and varied tasks, some of which are right up the street of the candidates (or some of them) and some of them are really alien to the would-be apprentices.
When they need to produce something- a marketing brand or product- in most cases, they seem to have only two days to develop and produce something and they are always judged on their first and ONLY effort. There must have been one hell of a lot that went into last-night's task that we didn't see and to produce anything tangible in these circumstances has to be pretty tough.
If anyone watches Dragon's Den, you would begin to appreciate how difficult it is to bring even the simplest idea to market in terms of time and investment. I think that they do quite well really.
When all said and done, Sir Alan is looking at the way that these people go about the tasks and relate to each other- he's looking for a grafter who will fit in somewhere in his organisation (as he is fond of pointing out in the boardroom) and some people may have apparently gone unfairly in the opinion of the viewing public, but Sir Alan has probably known from the end of the first task half of the people that will go before the end.

is this the level that management have to archive and lower themselves too for success and to progress up the management chain no wonder that after this debasing they treat there employees like lumps of something they scraped off the bottom of there shoes …

I thought the posters created by Yasmina's team were quite good actually. Peter.

Hmm, I was less impressed. They look a bit "industrial" to me. Mind you the whole programme looked like an Apple advert. Loads of Macs in use both desktop and laptop. Oh and there was that rather smart Sony L series integrated computer on the secretary's desk. Not that new but looking gorgeous.

Personally would have got rid of all text, and just left 'Margate - fun no matter the weather' or suchlike, then pasted the website centralised below (yes I did notice it was centralised, and made the poster look brochurish..)
