Hey guys,

So i've just bought an xperia x10 and it's gorgeous. However it's locked to orange... bad times seeing as i'm on t-mobile.

I've got an orange sim-card so that I can use it (my current phone, the t-mobile g1, is being repaired at the moment, hence my need to upgrade a month early) however it just won't for the life of me use a 3g internet connection... Even though i'm on Dolphin and have topped up £10 to get the unlimited internet.

Anyways that's a side-point. I'd like to use my t-mobile simcard in it, so do you guys know any decent, reliable places to get it done online? There's a shop in town that will charge £40 to do it, and they say it'll take 6 days. During which time I have to leave my phone with them (that's a load of bullsh*t, what the hell do they want it for?!). I'm hoping to get it done for less than that, in less time.

Any ideas? I've seen lots of websites but can't attest to their authenticity...

To unlock a phone it takes about 4min max. And £40 is a rip off. Have you tried calling orange? What the terms of contract? My phone with orange i was able to unlock for free after 6 months.

They are a lot more expensive now and some need to be sent off

Have a look at davinci team unlocking, or xda-developers.com will have a recommendation

Frenchun.... they won't unlock a new phone, usually at the end of a contract or after a period of time/amount spent (say on PAYG)
The simlock (if my X1 has one) is pretty expensive to get removed
