One of the comments made me lol:

I would agree this is a product not fit for purpose with the faults.

However consumers are going to struggle to get a refunds under the sale of goods act because no one knows what the purpose of the ipad really is.

On its support page, Apple acknowledged that some users may have problems accessing Wi-Fi networks or maintaining a strong signal, and blamed the problems on dual-band routers.

The company suggested users created a separate network name for each band, and ensure both networks use the same security type - whether that's WEP, WPA, or WPA2.

Is that normal with Wi-Fi devices? :?

Sounds eccentric to me ;)

No it is not. Only for the iPad it is normal.

The Register tend to hate Apple but this is an interesting review from them.

ooh.. grabbed the weather and planetarium apps. Can't really see why a voice memo app needs the whole iPad screen though

between that and this I now have 10 iPad apps in my library. I haven't even decided if I'm buying one yet...

(BTW, Isn't it slightly interesting that the BBC iPad app is available on the US Applestore, but not on the UK one...)

Where are you grabbing them from? I can't see a place in iTunes for iPad apps. :?

I wanted to know if there was a page turning app. for sheet music. The iPad would be great for sheet music. No need to carry several boxes of fake books when you go on a gig now.

If you enter the name it will split the list into those for iPads and for other devices. You can also put iPad in the search term.

IPad apps aren't obviously categorised differently in iTunes on PCs until you actually search for them.

Any app which will work on the iPhone and also take advantage of the ipad has a small blue '+' next to the price when you search for it in the AppStore. if you search for 'delivery touch' you'll see it's listed as both an iPhone and iPad app - it's the same app, it's just been updated to be 'universal'.
iPad specific apps don't get that '+', the only way to see they're iPad specific is to search for them and see if they're listed as 'ipad apps' when you find them. I believe the only way to get a list of just iPad apps is via the Appstore on an iPad.
