Nice, I'm owed something like £600 from working April to August and overpaying tax, got to wait until the end of the tax year though :(

Yeah, they're great, must resist the urge to frame a repayment cheque rather than cashing it in :)

Is anyone else fed up of waiting for google-analytics.com? It seems these days every time a web page it taking ages to load, it waiting for google-analytics.com in the status bar. Why do non google sites need it anyway?

I use NoScript in Firefox to block it, though I'm not really sure how much impact it has either way :?

Google Analytics is a suite of tools used by webmasters/webdevs to track usage of their sites, and produce usage statistics (Browsers, locations, busy times, etc), and is included by embedding a small javascript script in each page, so I guess it could be blocked pretty easily.

I have added google-analytics (and most other Google sites) to the list of sites which cannot run scripts (NoScript add-in for Firefox)...

£22 lighter after being in at the doctors today, what did I get for that?

1 Piece of a4 paper from my doctor with a few lines explaining my illness to my uni

£22!!!

I'd expect it printed on £5 or £10 notes for that, and it's VERY unlikely my uni will reimburse me despite them being the ones that wanted it!

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Apparently the NHS can charge for doctors notes to explain absence, from £22 to £34 if they choose to charge.

I presume if I was in full time employment I wouldn't have been charged, however I'm not, so was.
