Well talk to her, you pillock! OK, so she's going to Uni' - so what! Do you know which uni' she's going to? Even if it is on the other sife of the country you can still be friends, and you'd be surprised how much that couldboost your self confidence. I guess what I'm saying is, with the best will in the world and no offence meant here... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD(S), GROW A PAIR!

Dude - seriously?! Most of us have been in way worse situations in terms of being in love with someone we can't have, or miss, or whatever. That's life. But at your age, there's nothing to lose!! Just talk to her anyway. Oh and btw if she's leaving, you can't possibly mess it up long term DO IT! Oh and John obviously has brass balls like Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glenross (foreign film - Scottish sounding name )

You do speak it, although your comprehension is terrible. J_V is referring to your total cowardice when it comes to girls, you're what..12 years old? You've decided not to even bother being friends with the only girl you currently fancy, and this (apparently) means that you will be single for the considerable remainder of your life? Rubbish. Grow up, start taking some responsibility for the course of your life and spend a little less time cultivating your inner drama queen. Katie is going to university, not the moon. If you want her to be in your life, even as a friend then you've got to make the effort. If you're too shy or whatever (which I doubt) then it'll be harder but she's still just a girl. All that said, I still don't understand what on earth you want a girlfriend for anyway? It's clear that you think all acts of a sexual nature between consenting adults are totally abhorrent and you're not short of random girls to snog when you feel like it, so what is your "long-term" plan for a relationship, or are you planning to just hold hands and kiss on street corners for the rest of your life?

Reading Zippy's post made me wonder how long before we get universities on the moon, and would they be called mooniversities? Sorry, I'll get my coat. :etc:

In general im more confident around girls than boys which is normal? its just that asking out thing I cant seem to do atall, brain stops me cos then I think "whats the point when so many girls get hurt by boys and they will think im just the same as other boys" etc etc so it seems pointless, confidence doesnt seem too great but its still high in general just not in certain enviroments as usual,

Probably wasn't intended to sound like that, but this made me piss myself laughing Bratty - as we say in Cornwall (or at least the more Cornish people do), "GET ON BOY!"

+1. It's getting a bit silly with the whole repetition thing... ANYWAY! Bratty, just do it. Life is pretty damn amazing for me right now in that respect, and I've been told (repeatedly -_-) that I have the lowest self confidence in Aber. Girls are, contrary to common belief and many crappy American films, human. This means that if you screw up or say something, then likely as not she'll know you didn't mean it. (This is where I get glared at by the fairer sex of x404) Take her down from the mental soap-box you have her on in your mind. She's human, not a god. Now get on with it. If you don't mind, I'm going for a shower to nurse better the various injuries sustained by suitably abusive enounters with the finer aspect of my life lately.
