Morning all,

Assembling beds is fun. Not as much fun as dismantling the old one, but hey...

Have a great day, everyone.

you mean not as much fun as testing it later ;)

Given that the bed is for my thirteen year old daughter that is most certainly not what I meant! lol

Im guessing you did all the testing back in the days

I thought you lived in London?

Morning

We live in Surrey & I work in Surrey. Heading in to Oxford Street for work later. Sort of London, London (like going out, out)

Yes, it's a Minecraft thing... It's on the 4th and 5th July at the Excel Centre in London. Tickets sold out in a matter of minutes. If you've ever seen the episode of Big Bang Theory where they tried to get Comicon tickets, you'll have an idea of what it was like at my house lol

Minecraft? No, that's my daughter's thing, but I can't really let a 13 year old girl go to London on her own for two days. My attitude is if she's happy then I'm happy... to put up with Minecraft for a couple of days

Now if you want someone else to devote themselves to going round the stands with her while you and the wife go do something fun, that can be arranged ;)

It's only a small opal, but it's still annoying.

Sorry to hear that about Miss Blue. Bit surprised that if mobility was going to be an issue she didn't get issued with a wheelchair from the hospital and likewise with adequate pain relief medication. If its that bad I'm kind of surprised she was sent home. In any case hope things pick up and improve quickly.

Thanks, you and me both re the wheelchair. I guess people don't return them enough for them to keep handing them out. As for pain meds, she's already called the GP and had stronger stuff prescribed, again I guess it's more cost effective for the hospital not to provide the 'good stuff' for free.

Hope she's over the worse of it, and makes a full and rapid recovery, Dave.

I'm currently trying to hire her a wheelchair to make getting around the house a bit easier at least for the first week.

Ask your doctor if there is an OT ( Occupational Therapy ) team in the area they may well be able to lend you one, ours did when I needed one.

Meanwhile while she was at the hospital the car broke down, managed to get it repaired on the day, but I'm £240 lighter for it.

Yeah I know the feeling coming back from Chemo on Thursday my car broke down. Deep joy.

Hope she's better soon.

Thanks guys, she seems more herself today, I started work late so I could help her downstairs and get her setup with food & drink etc!

Sorted out some more tablets for her, she's still in a lot of pain but slowly it'll get better.
