https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-51957532I'd be amazed if panic buying stops soon, if nothing else families have to 'panic buy' stuff they only bought one of usually, because it won't be there next time you go in. And your average family probably doesn't want to keep buying £3 boxes of Rice Krispies because it's the only cereal left. I was amazed to find tins of beans last time I went in. Bought the three I was allowed and dropped them into the store's food bank. Not only do you get to do some good, you can potentially piss off hoarders

This is going to cause so many people job and money issues. I've missed one trip offshore already, and just been told I'm not needed any more by the client I've been working for. I'm hoping to get work with another client, who can't get their usual employees across from Europe. That's assuming they don't cancel work too.

Very funny. But no. Bog rolls and pasta seem to be the main things that were being panic bought. I went shopping on Saturday afternoon around 15:00. All the shelves were well stocked. Condom sales have shot through the roof though.

Was in a couple of stores today, there's barely any Hot Wheels cars My family are still as dumb as a Love Island contestant... "We don't know what we need, so we'll go out ourselves." Two people in their 60s and the mother of a diabetic child, there. Even my vague intelligence must be inbuilt because it sure as [LIFTED] wasn't passed down.

The only thing that never seems to be in the shops is bread.

It's weird how it's so different in places. Here it's cereal. And now tea. There was an easy 100 Kingsmill loaves in Home Bargains. Just as well when I saw a guy buying 6.

Not entirely. I have photos of totally empty isles of bread and toilet roll from Sainsbury's that I took just last week. The tea isle was also seriously depleted as well. It's [LIFTED] mental out there. Mark

The government has suggested to journalists that non-essential retail stores might close soon, so it might be worth a final hurrah for clothes, batteries, replacing broken items and toys for young and old Amazon have said they wouldn't restock anything non-essential, so other online stores are presumably gonna be haphazard at best. Just FYI before going for a walk seems truly dangerous. I would certainly sort out any devices you're definitely gonna need.

Well, that'll send the panic buyers into a frenzy.

Grrr, no working from home for me unless there's a mini outbreak at my site. This is the one time having my own office is a hindrance lol

Well lockdown's happened. What made this hit home for me was the news that two ITU consultants who were looking after covid-19 patients in ITU also became infected and needed ventilation. There's an ENT consultant who was fit and well who also caught the infection and died.

So, day 1 of the new rules and police had to stop a group of youths having a barbecue in Manchester City centre. FFS, just stay the [LIFTED] indoors, you morons!
