Re-reading The Jungle Book.

I'd forgotten how blood thirsty and violent it is!

I have an ABC printed copy from the 1970s, which is well thumbed and the German version as an audio book. The audio book is of excellent quality, which clocks in at around 57.5 hours of listening.

It certainly is. The attack on the monkey palace is a bloodbath!

The culling of the seals as well, and Rikki Tikki Tavi.

Just finished F**ked By Rock: The True Confessions of Zodiac Mindwarp, by Mark Manning. I was never really a fan of Zodiac but I'd read a short extract from this autobiographical effort and thought it might be funny. It isn't. It's an incoherent mess. Endless tales of drug taking and sodomising underage girls becomes surprisingly boring and the book is so jumbled up chronologically that you can't figure out when things are happening in the overall timeline. Yes, there are a few funny moments of excess but 'The Dirt' this ain't.

Cool. I'm halfway through No Middle Name at the moment.

Apart from some silly stuff at the end of the book, I think it is King's best novel.

I read The Circle from Dave Eggers a couple of weeks back. A very scary, dystopian look at what Silicon Valley is doing to the world...

I've just read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch.
It's a little bit familiar but there is a great twist towards the end. recommendation 6/10

Meh. Probably the second worse Reacher story. Some interesting bits. Lots of boring bits. The action was light. Not up to the usual standards. Personal was the worst one IMO. I've enjoyed all of the main Reacher books apart from these two.
