Trailer for Battle Angel Alita.

So...whose bright idea was it to make her eyes so big?

Trailer for upcoming movie UFO.

Nice to see Gillian Anderson back on X Files ground but I am disappointed it isn't a reboot of the Gerry Anderson show.

Can we say James Cameron?

Meh. The first one had everything. The second and third ones were less obvious in their philosophical points which were easily lost amongst the action.

Went to see Bohemian Rhapsody with the wife and daughter last week. There were a few historical inaccuracies, however this did not detract from the film, which we all thought was brilliant. I was concerned before going to see it, that it had "that guy from Mr Robot" in the lead role, as I don't like that programme, but within a couple of minutes he WAS Freddie Mercury, and I don't think there was a bad performance in the whole film. Definitely worth watching.

Also went to see Venom. Not really much to say about this. Another good film, with some great action sequences, and enough witty one liners to satisfy the Marvel fans.

Not sure where this should go but I’ll stick it here for now:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-46207601

Tom Cruise will no longer play the role of Jack Reacher. He’s too much of a midget. They’re likely going to develop a series and will use a larger actor.

Any suggestions?

If 2 had made more we wouldn't be talking about his height; that's just an excuse here.

I've no idea how he's described in the books, but Dave Bautista? Stephen Merchant lol

The second and third do have Monica Bellucci though which acts as some compensation for the godawful metaphysical plot meanderings.

6'5", 250 lbs (113kg), 50" chest. The closest you've got to that is Dwayne Johnson/The Rock. He's 6'4", weighs 260lb (118kg) and has a 50" chest. The next closest is probably Ray Stevenson who is also 6'4" but he's leaner at 84kg. Chris Hemsworth is similar in height but has 48" chest and weights 100kg. Arnold Schwarzenegger in his prime would be physically wider than the character albeit shorter at 6'2".

In Hollywood terms they'd want Hemsworth because he's younger and hits all the demographics. Rock after that, then Stevenson. Though Stevenson is probably likeliest of that list for TV.
