It's basically working as predicted for me. The boards are all duplicated but separate across portals and I have to log in with my email address.
I can't actually see any way to "claim" my username. Perhaps if I change my email address, something will happen. I might try later if I'm bored. One thing I noticed; any profile changes you make on the MU portal are duplicated on the Pro portal. That is, they're still joined together somehow.
There's hardly any help activity though. Just one reply on the CPC help forum from Steve, which I suspect will be the last post ever in that particular place. I don't understand why it's even there any more, let alone duplicated into the MU portal! Also, some slightly unkind OT comments on the comments forum.
