It's a shame, because I doubt we'll ever see them over here. TMP here is what the old MP used to be, and the Mac boards here are far too 'public' for some of the old MU's to want to use, which is a great shame. I'll only be venturing back for questions that can't be answered here, maybe to slip in the odd post about this place... Oh, and hopefully I'll rip some stuff out of the old Linux forum and post them in our Open Source board, so they can be loved and kept a little more up to date. Barry, are we still going to enjoy news updates from the Dennis sites?

Strangely, that image pleases me

I was rather assumed by the way that they've copied all of the forums over to each portal - so now PCPro has it's own MacUser forum and the MacUsers now have a Vista forum.

Agreed, it's all very messy in there. I've popped in for a quick look. It was heartwarming to see the posts from everyone who's decided to stay here. Well done everyone.

I’m likely to be the opposite. I enjoyed the Meeting Place, and spent more time there than in the MacUser only forum, which I fear will become a ghetto.

Had a look. Logged in fine but I can't say I was impressed.
Think I'll be sticking here for the most part.

Thanks Heather. Figures. There's plenty enough people here to help me if I need tech help and as it's the same old thing, but entirely empty, it's not much use to me over there. I'm really surprised at the lack of change over there. Oh well.

I logged in, email address worked fine and I haven't been banned I've added a swear word to my signature as well as an advert for this place, bumped the "New Meeting Place" thread to the top....then come right back here

I see our old buddy Amnesia10 was straight back on the boards like a rat in a drainpipe. I heard they were going to let him have his opwn forum where he posts topics then comments on them. Anyone used to watch that programme on ITV called 'Freetime' hosted by Mick Robertson ? Not sure why that programme springs to mind though.
