The Hit Toy Camera Comes to an End
Just when I'm thinking of getting myself a film camera.

Get yourself a good film camera then. Those things were a toy.
We spent about £100 on eBay for a Nikon F4 that's great. Why not take a look at an older Nikon so your lenses will work? Or are you thinking of getting into 120?

If I go film, it'll have to do something that my current DSLR can't.
There's plenty of good offers available online for second-hand SLR cameras, but why get something which works exactly the same way as my current camera does?
With this in mind, I'm looking at getting a Sprocket Rocket, just for fun.

FWIW you can find Olympus Trips in charity shop is for about £10 - £20. I know they aren't SLRs, but that should not deter you. Nice little cameras.

I suppose a Diana F+ would be a suitable Holga alternative. I never had a Sprocket Rocket but did enjoy the novelty of owning some other 'toy' cameras. My favourite was the Supersampler but the Spinner 360 and La Sardina were also fun.

There are, if you want to go down the “funky film camera” route, there are stereo cameras around that use film.

It seems that all I had to do was to add the Sprocket Rocket to my Amazon wishlist, and someone bought it for me for Christmas. (8+D
Now I just need to source me some film for it.

I used to use 7dayshop and Discount Films Direct. There was another but I don't remember the name. It's sad now looking at the selection available compared to how much more there was even just a few years ago.

Bought a pinhole camera (self assembly) from WHSmiths for £2. Will get a roll of B&W and have a play with it with Emily.
