Grandfather Clock. I’ve been offered one for free. It’s not a massive one, about 7 feet tall, so we reckon we can get it in the Yeti with a bit of jiggling about, and removal of seats. If not, it’ll be van hiring time...
As everyone involved in this are teachers, we’ll probabaly be doing this in the Easter holidays.

Static shocks.
For almost a month (if not longer), I've been getting static shocks when I go to touch the metal taps to wash my hands, or touch patients. It was mildly amusing at first, but is now becoming more irritating. I've changed nothing about myself so no idea why it's suddenly started happening. Very frustrating.

Could it be a humidity thing (I find that if the air is very dry I tend to get more static shocks than usual)?

I've been getting more as well.
Dry atmosphere in the office is one thing, I think.
I also think one pair of jeans has elastan and some garments have polyester - my fleece is the biggest culprit, when I take it off, it really crackles and pops as I draw it down my arm.
We did a memory upgrade on a server on Monday and I let my colleague swap the memory out as I was getting a big belt of discharge when I just stood up from my seat and touched the metal frame of my desk!

Had a proper catch up with my family at the weekend. Some of whom I hadn't seen for 2 decades. Went out with some on my cousins Saturday night and it turns out they're all as mad as me

I've got to wonder about the logic of cleaning the windows of my office (the outside)... in the pouring rain. I guess the poor contractors don't get much choice.

Today can [LIFTED] off already. Mad busy at work.
Advertising is definitely an industry unlike any other I've worked at

Just had to spend £400 on building materials to reroute the underground stream that our neighbour blocked. I'm hoping that will sort out the quagmire that our garden turned into.

To add to my list of broken things, over the Easter weekend the following stopped working: 1 - A cuckoo clock. It’s frozen. Can‘t move the hands, pendulum won’t tick when swinging. I bet it’s a bit of grit in a cog somewhere that‘s stopped it. That’s a trip to a menders at some point.
2 - PS4 controller playing up. One of the trigger buttons is sticky and/or failing to return. I guess I could take the thing apart, but if I break it there’s another £50 to fork out. The first PlayStation controller to die on me too.
So, I’m not having much luck with things at the moment. My wife’s told me to keep away from the toaster and the washing machine.
