Srsly? WTF? Very much sounds like a cock-up somewhere in the system. A private MRI scan is ~£150 which some people find they're desperate enough to pay for. The problem is it doesn't always help unless you're seriously considering surgery. IIRC they scanned something like 100 people with no back pain and around 25-50% (cannot recall precise figure) had abnormalities like slipped disc which didn't correlate well with symptoms.

I did go back to him after about 6 weeks, and it turns out that I was put in the wrong list... they had me marked down as a cardiology patient. It is a series of cock-ups. In fairness they've always been a bit useless, so I'm not sure why I'm surprised at this latest display of ineptitude.

Edit to add: I'm not medically trained, but the fact that my back, shoulders, knees and wrists/hands all hurt suggests that surgery won't help.

It was the doctor who suggested an MRI scan.

Why has John Barrowman adopted a Scotch accent for his injured animals programme?

Far as I know, but I've never heard him use the accent lol. The delivery has a Scotch brogue but the words sound Americanised; like an AI robot trying to blend in.

After waiting three months for my doctor to book an MRI scan appointment, I got the number yesterday, and have, in less than TEN MINUTES, managed to book an appointment for Tuesday.

It's not that difficult...

It was the doctor who suggested an MRI scan.

Pain in multiple joints suggests a systemic problem. Don't want to try and diagnose you over the internet but it could be something as simple as a vitamin d deficiency, more serious eg inflammatory arthropathy, more complex eg fibromyalgia, or idiopathic eg medication.

Something is not quite right. I suspect the scan will show nothing.

10538 Overture by ELO has an intro very like the later Siouxsie & the Banshees' Dear Prudence.

Whether the displacement to oil based mud will happen before the end of my shift.

I really hope not as it's a 240 m3 displacement and I only have 110 m3 of pit space for the returns. There's going to be lots of tankers involved in this cluster [LIFTED].
