Just realised I don't own a single PS4 game yet - just as well, most of them are only rentals at best.

Remember terrestrial signals that let you watch TV for the most part in a storm?

Trying to find a 10m long. mini hdmi with a 90 degree turn in the plug to full hdmi cable. This is frustrating me.

Why not an extension cable and a separate 90 degree connector?

Because it's going into the side of a camera mounted to a camera crane, so any movement puts a degree of strain on the connector. A single run will be more effective than having a cable slip out of a connector.

Had a quick look round and you can get a connector but only say 1.5m in length. I would then attach a standard extension cable and use duct tape or similar to secure it. Better than having a 10m cable that plugs into a 90degree converter plug.

tape & tie the cable with a little bit of slack so you don't put any strain on it

A single run is going to work better, means we don't end up with sticky cables and gummy connectors and don't risk disconnecting things. I've actually come up with a different solution - a step out plate for the camera to move it an inch or two away from the head. Might affect the balance slightly though.

I barely feel the cold but even I'm gonna have to wear my gloves if I'm to continue reading in the park.

It’s always good when a client thanks you on an internal email to all staff and acknowledges the work done to solve a thorny issue. Not all clients do this, but I have one who I’ve been working for for the best part of a decade who does this.

Halley's Comet. What gives? You were here when I was about 10 years old, and I was resigned to probably never seeing you again in my lifetime, but oh no, you've decided to swing by again. Stick to your plans, I can't deal with you dropping in whenever.

Just comet dust apparently. I'll have to look into it further. In other news I may have to see if I can break a personal record for bacon consumption in a single day.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.
