I've just had my eye operation ( cataract removal ) brought forward by 8 weeks to tomorrow.

Somebody cutting my eye open under local anaesthetic is not high on my wish list. 8-)

Gonna take a trip into town tomorrow for a look at SFX magazine (amongst other reasons). A magazine I subscribe to has been cancelled and they want to transfer me to SFX or give me my money back :|

What's on my mind is that my other half has decided that it's cold enough to put the central heating on.

Ask for a doctor's note... Seriously, why can't women get heat in them?

We have the heating set to about 20°C in winter, so no way it would be on when it is still 20 outside...

Middle of winter in Auckland atm, and we have no heating. Could go and get an expensive oil or convection heater, but it would be too expensive, especially with the single glazing, bare minimum loft insulation (2"), and gaps in the window frames that I could put a finger through.

I'm still in shorts. :D

The US has just woken up and I still have a thick head from last night, and I'm trying to be all organised and efficient.
Thank god this wasn't happening a few hours ago.

My head hurts. Think I drank a bit too much at Robbie's concert last night but wow it was brilliant :D

I'm watching old episodes of HIGNFY on Netflix and they're like warnings of the future to come - jokes about Jimmy Savile, Sally Bercow talking about tweeting, Russia eyeing up Ukraine...
