The Marvel Film That Will Oppose “Batman vs. Superman” Is…

http://schmoesknow.com/the-marvel-film- ... perman-is/

What I'd do if it actually came to it (I doubt it will) is go and see Cap first, let the hype and rush die down for BvS, then go and see it. Assuming there's anything in the trailer and reviews that makes me wanna see BvS. Either way, even a Batman and Robin-style calamity will probably make about $700m

‘The Wolverine’ Sequel to Start Filming After ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’

http://schmoesknow.com/the-wolverine-se ... pocalypse/

Make it cohesive this time! The last film felt like it had been made by committee

You think that there's any big-budget tent pole films these days that aren't made by committee?!?

There are clearly directors who can stand on their own feet. There might be sub-committees beneath them, but at least they don't affect the fundamentals of the film. Marvel's choice of directors appear to be left to their own devices for the most part, whereas Fox and Sony are still learning. IMO.

Marc Webb will leave Spider-Man franchise after third film

http://www.totalfilm.com/news/marc-webb ... third-film

Quote:
Webb also made mention of the other films set to expand the Spidey universe, although it sounds as though he will only be involved with those in an advisory capacity...

“We're building out a more complicated Spider-Man universe with characters that people haven't seen in other Spider-Man movies - The Sinister Six, Venom, and more. We'd all love to overlap with other studios, but it's beyond my pay grade.”

TAS was certainly a good start, the sequel looks like it might be OK, and yes, get talking to Fox at the very least...

Is a 'tentpole film' anything with Scarlett Johannson in it?

Incidentally, I saw a photo recently of her with her new fiance, who is I think a French investment banker or something similar. Jesus. If anything she's punching above her weight.

Bananaman the movie: http://www.theguardian.com/film/2014/ma ... cia-avenue

I don't know what to make of this. It was an underrated cartoon that not many people heard of so love the idea of a film but at the same time am tired of my childhood memories being ruined.

Seriously? "not that many people heard of" Bananaman?
