Crackers to me are much thinner and less salty, indeed a quick scour of the net calls them 'savoury biscuits'. I think the UK labels a lot of stuff 'biscuit' though

It also says and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TUC_%28cracker%29I can't imagine anyone using them as crackers, the salt alone...
