Joe Wright May Adapt Neil Gaiman's THE OCEAN AT THE END OF THE LANE!

Surely they should wait and see what the book is actually like and what the response of the public is before setting about adapting it?

Mark

The problem is that if the book is a hit then the film rights are so much more expensive, though buying early on and they do not have to pay a premium, plus more studios will be interested if it is a hit book.

Sam Raimi And Unspecified Raimi Brother To Write EVIL DEAD 4

8-)

Oh God. Evil Dead 2 was bloody awful and Army of Darkness was poor too. I'm not sure about the Evil Dead remake which looks very grim from the trailer, but the world doesn't need Evil Dead 4. Many of the comments on that page express the opinion that Raimi has been saying he's going to write part 4 for years and it hasn't happened.

I just treat them as B-movies that have funny moments. Same with Darkman. I watch them the same way I watch Machete, for example.

Thanks for that. Main concerns I had were Jack Reacher and DKR. What I found amusing (and perhaps questionable) was the personal bit at the end that asked if you were practising a religion! You don't have to be a religious kook to find some ratings inappropriate.
