Does anyone know of any decent windows "gadgets" or apps that will display live news feeds to the desktop. I tried the inbuilt one but it was all from the NHS. Then I tried the BBC one which kept telling me about the heavy snow in December!

*sigh*

Hobgob.

I have the inbuilt one on my desktop showing the latest from the BBC news website.
go to bbc news (not the main bbc home page) and subscribe to the RSS feed. then click on the spanner (options) and choose the appropriate feed.

This gadget lets you preview your RSS feeds. You can add any number of feed URLs and the gadget will display their articles in a scrolling ticker window. All articles from all feeds will be shuffled and article's color will indicate its age. If the user clicks a title of an article the gadget will display an article preview and a link to a whole story.
