Jailbreak it.
I have a terminal app on my iPoT, and it's more or less exactly the same as a 'nix terminal. Works well too, although it won't let me run Folding@Home on it

I take it you need remote access to a server or something? iSSH SSH TouchTerm SSH pTerm TouchTerm Pro Server Admin Remote Just dong a quick search with my iPhone... |

I've not found anything that will let you run the Terminal actually on the 'Touch, though I use TouchTerm SSH to SSH to various machines and use their shells... |
