Solid State Hybrid Drives?

Hi
Has anyone tried the Solid State Hybrid drives at all? Was thinking of getting an SSD for my MacBook Pro, but the size I need to replace is pricey - these hybrid drives seem quite reasonable (£69 for a 1TB Seagate).
Just wondered if anyone had any experience on whether they were worth it, or if I should just wait until I can afford a full SSD?? I've read they cache most used files, so is that practical? Can you specify what goes on the SSD part? (i.e. OS, Software etc).
Thanks!
Ben

i have a 500GB hybrid drive and it is quicker then a standard drive how far behind a SSD i cant say as i have never used a SSD but i would think its a good compromise for space and speed ...

Well, the pricing looks very attractive... If it speeds up my boot up time (painful at the moment) and springs apps open faster I'd be happy....
