I have a Tassimo but it's about to go and be replaced by a Saeco Poemia machine. It's manufactured by Philips AFAIK and I bagged one on Amazon yesterday for a ridiculous £58. I read it's the same internals as one of the entry level Gaggia machines but plastic bodied and half the price.

FWIW I quite liked the Tassimo but preferred the coffee from their website rather than the Costa stuff from the supermarket.

At home it's a choice of Tea, Instant Coffee, Cafetiere or the Dolce Gusto, depending on my mood. At work it's Tea or Instant Coffee.

Basic coffee machine with either Jacobs Kronung or Taylor's half-caff, depending on how fragile I feel

Tine's ex mother-inlaw and father-inlaw give us Jacobs' Krönung for birthdays and Christmas... We prefer Prodomo, so it usually ends up in the office coffee pot.

Machine came today. It is very plastic and as noisy as the Tassimo but I just made a macchiato with Lavazza Espresso and it was fantastic.

There seems to be far too much machinery required to make a drink here.
