We have a computer in the meeting room that we use. It hosts the intranet but it is also used to drive the projector for those times we need a meeting. The projector accepts M1-DA/DVI and HDMI inputs (as well composite, rgb etc). The computer (optiplex 7010) has either VGA or DisplayPort outputs.

At the moment, there's a VGA cable to the monitor, and this has to be disconnected and the projector connected via a M1DA - VGA cable. Whilst I don't mind, it's puzzling for anyone who's not used to it (ie everyone else). I thought an easier option might be some kind cable that does VGA (from PC) to VGA (monitor) and M1DA (projector), or VGA to VGA and HDMI.

Suggestions would be welcome/

Could you not run VGA to VGA for the monitor and Display Port to HDMI for the projector? That way you could leave them both plugged in at the same time. Or am I missing something?
