I have just brought a new 285 graphic card and I was suprized that to make it work with HD it did not have a HD out put you had to plug in a converter block

The next thing I was thinking about was a new 26" screen that can display Blueray etc

I have window XP and vista and window 7 as the OS

The motherboard is a ASUS M2N32-SLi Deluxe motherboard which is the wireless version

So to make eveything work I just need to replace my normal DVD RW with a Blueray player and a new lead to the new sceen and it should work?

You need to have VIsta HP or above for bluray to work.
You also need a HDCP display & bluray player software (usually in the box)

Black box? Is that ultimate?

HDCP is a technology not a plug. Do you mean HDMI?

SP2 brought the ability to write to bluray from explorer

For HDCP to work all the components in the chain need to support it.
So you need a HDCP player software & OS (vista supports it), a HDCP graphics card (The 285 is fine) & a HDCP monitor.

or you could use slysoft's anydvd HD to strip the HDCP off it and lets you use any monitor you feel like.

I'd recommend Arcsoft's Total Media Theatre for the player software as it integrates with media centre.

Should be fine. A HDMI plug means it should do HDCP (as it's part of the requirements)
