Hey, i've been having a bit of trouble for a while with my mobo as some of you may know from previous posts. Its become so extreme that ive decided to give up. Having a q6600 at 2.8ghz is really starting to wear me down and i feel like im loosing overclocking street cred ;). I cant get this cpu stable for the life of me at 3.0ghz! I know its ashameful however I dont think its me to blame. I had a blast on a p5k3 Deluxe not long back and managed to hit 3.4Ghz in about an hour and half stable with about 15 mins on prime 95 no problem. So i feel as if my boards letting me down and ive asked about with one of my more tech'ier mates :)) and he just says i told you not to buy and nvidia chipset based board.

I currently run a Quad core on a Asus P5NT Ws, and its so bad for o/c ive tried everything and so far ive heard one guy has it at about 3ghz but i dont know if hes got it stable, I can post my o/c settings but i have tried so many different ways I think its time to move on :)

Since a core i7 is not an option atm, I was hoping maybe one of you guys has an old LGA 775 board laying around somewhere that i could buy for a fair price. Preferably a P5K Deluxe since the DDR3 version seemed to work nicely with my Overclocking sttings.

Thanks in advance Brad : ) )

Is this a request for overclocking help or a request for a new board?

Requests to buy hardware need to go in the Wanted section.

What's the other hardware you're trying to use?

You should (with the right cooling & chip) hit well over 3GHz easy on that board.

I cant help out with the board (my P5K Premium is still in use with my Q6600) but this thread might be worth a look: http://www.overclock.net/intel-bios/385 ... -bios.html
