Mac overheating

I agree with you 100% about Flash, it really does need to be slimmed down and told to play nice. I regularly find my fans going when surfing using Camino, just because a site uses Flash ads. If I happen to be doing anything that is CPU intensive, Flash crawls inside Camino.

My point is, even if Flash wasn't a pile of poo release, after release, after release, the OS shouldn't allow a process to run the CPU into the ground to the point where the machine overheats...

I agree with you Heather, it's definitely Flash. I get the same symptoms.

Every Mac I've ever used has been the same.

Out of curiosity, was it the same when Flash was owned by Macromedia?

I have no idea, to be honest. I became aware of it browsing the MacUser site some years ago while I was still on a G4, so that may well have predated Adobe's absorption of Macromedia.
