Has anyone joined a VPN subscription service like IPVanish or Hidemyass?

Thinking about joining one but then have the added issue of a Virgin media router which may or may not support this.

https://secure.proxpn.com/ are supposed to be good. They were recommended by Steve Gibson on Security Now for a while and they were a sponsor (the network only takes on sponsors, when they use the products themselves or they have thoroughly checked them out).

I've been using PureVPN for couple of years now. I set it up on my Mikrotik router that replaced my BT Hub5. Purevpn had an IPv4 DNS leak on BT hub so I got my own router. On Mikrotik I can filter which devices are routed throught vpn - mainly my PC.
Also vpn is very useful at my place of work where we have free wifi for personal devices. Plus all other public wifi networks...

I use Private Internet Access.
I've been very happy with their service.
It works through apps for all major OS's. I have the Windows and Android (on my phone and Amazon Fire TV). They all work prefectly.
Never had any speed issues, and you can select servers from all over the world to connect to. I used to use that feature to watch iPlayer in when I was in Norway. Unfortunately the BBC has added their UK ip address to a black list so that doesn't work any more.
I love the mobile app though. I won't use public wifi without it.
