I've just seen a motorbike tearing up the road (speeding), a car came out of the other junction and hit him. The motorcylist didn't make it, no news on the driver. All services in attendance. Please be careful out there. :(

It's a horrible thing, witnessing CPR being given at the scene and then the person not making it. :(

It was, though possibly the most distressing thing was asking for the Ambulance after dialling 999 and getting a "ringing tone", the 999 operator tried a different number and it was still ringning on my phone when the first ambulance arrived. Half of South Wales Police are out there at the moment, road will be closed for the night I think.

It's terrifying to be there when someone is in a life threatening position, a year ago I saw a woman have a fit in her car and fall unconscious. Luckily she seems to be able to get the the brakes and stop the car while she was fitting. Even though I had just topped up my First Aid course, I couldn't move, it was terrifying, she was fine. I don't know what I'd be like if someone in that position had died...

How are you feeling? Take it easy for a bit, have a good strong cup of tea....
Not that it makes a difference, but where was it?

Caerphilly Road, Cardiff. Literally just up the road from the house. I've got a cup of tea to try and soothe my nerves.

Sorry to hear it. Hope the driver's going to be ok.

I've had two 'incidents' in my motoring history - the first was knocking a biker off his bike after he robbed my braking gap on a dark night in the rain.
I watched him go down, up against the car in the opposite lane, head snap to the side and I genuinely thought I'd killed him after he didn't immediately move.
It was horrible. And that was at less than 15mph!
These days, I'm super careful about watching for bikers.

Sh*t, I've been passed there loads of times...My gf's aunt and uncle lived in Queens Anne Square (opposite King Edward VII Ave, off North Road).
Hope the driver recovers, and manages to get in a car again...

It's not much fun doing CPR at the scene and having the person not make it either :(

Seriously, there seems to be a great state of flux on the roads at the moment, people don't seem to be looking, paying attention, being careful or considerate of other road users. The safer cars have got, the less people seem to think they have to care, let's make sure it's none of us here eh?

Yep. :(

An idiot overtook us, when I was younger, going over a hump back bridge, he then drove directly under the oncoming coach! :( The front suspension lifted the wheel over the front of the car and came down on the rear of the passenger compartment, took off the back of the driver's head. My father and another still gave him CPR until the emergency services. We were in the first car before the accident, we (my 10 year old stepbrother and me) were sitting less than 10' away.

That was very harrowing!
