I lasted about 30 minutes into the first episode and then went "I've got getter things to be doing with my life"

Not voting yet, because I haven't seen the finale. Although I'm probably a yes. I'm desperate to go into Oli's thread, but stopping myself. Should get to the finale tonight.
Overall, the show lost its way a little around season 3. Aside from that it's been a ground-breaking, well written and highly immersive and thought provoking show. The mythology is fascinating (as always with JJ) and the details make it. But again, as always with JJ, despite a fair amount of mainstream success, there's plenty more for the discerning viewer and perhaps a little too much for Joe Schmo at times. Perhaps that's the key to its widespread derision.
I've been thoroughly entertained and experienced joy, fear, excitement, introspection and heartbreak as a result of watching. So was it worth - actually yes it was. Even if the finale's rubbish (although I can't imagine that being the case).

I was not long after. I definitely never made it to the end of the first series.

I really enjoyed it tbh, and having got to know the characters etc over the six years I felt slightly emotional at the end. Which fundamentally is the whole idea in the first place I would imagine.

Six years?!? Is it really that long since it began?
Jeepers. Glad I didn't make it beyond the first ad break in the season opener.

Loads of shows run longer than 6 years, Heather. What surprises you about that?

More that they managed to drag it out so long and not exactly have a plot at any point that I could see. Other better shows have come and gone in less time. Still, as long as people enjoyed it. I wonder what the cast will do now they haven't got a show to film.

I think The West Wing was the only film that ever managed to justify the length of time it ran for, and my word is it good.
