Post subject:  Tesco and Sainsbury's fail...

Apparently, Tesco and Sainsbury's sell "confectionary".

Asda however, quite rightly sell "confectionery".

Thankfully none of them sell "stationary".

I'm thinking I should start a spelling & grammar consultancy business. :shock:

At work, there's a notice on a wooden box and on the door is a notice declaring it as a "stationary cupboard". Well given it doesn't appear to have wheels....

In our local B&Q, one of the massive (and probably very expensive) signs says that that particular aisle has 'Cermaic Tiles.'

Great. Wouldn't you think someone would have seen that and said to the manufacturers of the sign, "What are you playing at!? Take that back and do another!"

Ugh.

There is a pub in Maltby, S Yorks, I drive past every day. It has a banner above the door advertising a daily cavery.

There was a "50% Of" sale at my local shopping centre the other day.
