you guys going to be in the Bit tech forum aswell?

I know most of you guys are not happy about the sudden closure of the cpc forum but i think you guys should give it a week with the bit-tech guys.

They really are nice people. There forum is very diferrent but i reckon you guys would get to like it if you gave it a try.
Ill be posting on both forums even though i wasnt really a regular at cpc but i did really like the set up.

Wel i hope to see you guys here and there.

Phil

I don't work with Windows and have little passion for hardware, so as a UNIX and Mac user, bit-tech offers me very little...The Mac User forum will be missing the connection with the rest of these guys...I'm happy here :)

Here will be better, in fact, it may even be better now so I fail to see the point. Also, I'm very angry at the publisher that cannot be named so don't really want too much to do with them. I've nothing against the people at Bit-tech and I'm sure they're really nice people but my place is here.

Depends if it’s an air brick or not, I suppose.

If I need something very specific and technical I go to xtremesystems.
But I am sure forum here will be great.

Hmph...It took me like 2 years to get that! And you destroy my little bubble in the space of 6 words *cries*

:P

Well, at least I'm not deemed n00b there now, funny, I've been there like a week and have double the posts of people who've been there 6 months...lol

I only found myself going to CPC for the 'technical' threads when I wanted to ask something specific or was bored and fancied trying to help someone out. That was only a small percentage of the time I spent on there though. the rest of the time was for The Meeting Place and genrally the community. I dont really feel the need to jump over to Bit-tech then. Maybe one day. This feels more like the natural replacement for CPC forum right now though. IMO.

Just as an aside...Has the word been spread over at CPCFF? I'm not a member, but I'm sure many users of the Dennis CPC site who haven't been online for a few days would go there?

Forums are down now but I imagine we could come back and spam them now and then to lure people to this place ;)
