Just got back from training and I think I've pulled a muscle in my lower stomach. It's on the right hand side and I think it's the right hand side of the lowest pair of abs if that makes sense. It really hurts when I put any strain on it at all. One of the trainers said it could just be a strain but he said to get it checked out at the doctor's. What do you reckon? |

I’d listen to your trainer. Get it checked. |

I'd say it's worth getting it checked in the morning, if you're still in pain. |

See what it's like in the morning, then go to the Drs' and get an appointment (but that'll be another few days if you've my luck /rant). Should be ok, but never hurts to be sure. Edd |

There's also a chance it's hernia related rather than just a strained muscle so definitely get to your GP as soon as possible. |

If it's muscular, a nice warm bath can actually make things worse. I forget the physiology of it, but Chris Evans had an expert on training/muscles and/or all sorts of related stuff on his radio show and I remember that part, but I think that it's only in the earlier stages. |
