I wonder if they'll actually honour that or if there is some cunning small print.
Do you get more money off if you get the blu-ray?

Isn't Space a small village in Wales? Of course, it's pronounced 'Swan-zee' but it's spelt funny cos of the Welsh.

Have you found R2D2's cameo yet?

I really like the new Star Trek and I think I'm going to pick it up on Blu. But oh my god those bloody barcode scanners (Symbol M2004) they used on the bridge make me cringe.

I think Mrs. V. is picking it up from Morrisons, (£8 this week) and if I like it enough I might also get it on Blu-Ray for PC-TV MK III which she has asked me to build for Christmas.

I’ll be getting it on BLuRay. I’m also now in TV research mode. I plan to upgrade the TV before VAT get’s “upgraded”.

I’m looking at full HD, possibly a shave over 32" (depends on size I am allowed to get), as little motion blur as possible. I saw a Panasonic over the weekend which looked so much better than the Sony Bravia next to it. Must be wall-mountable.

This thread details what I bought (LG 37'', full HD etc, £380 from Currys):

If you can fit a bigger TV let me know too, cos I've seen some good deals recently ;)

I got a 32" Panasonic Vera range 2 weeks ago, full HD, built in DVB-T and DVB-S2 tuners (digital terrestrial and freeview HD satellite - include a smart card slot for encrypted channels as well).

The image is excellent and the colours are vibrant, but not too gaudy - I compared about 50 different sets in my local MediaMarkt and it was the best image in its size/price class (32", wanted to pay €69, but it was €899 with the satellite tuner, which I'd have to upgrade next year anyway). Energy usage was also good, around 90W for the screen, 141W with the DVB-S2 tuner buit-in.
