Level 6 took some doing, kept catching me out. Annoying that I have to re-do all the other stages first each time.

Yeah, that is what is infuriating about it. Level 3 is a bitch, after that it looks easy, then 6 and 7 ruin your day.

oh man, i used to play this game soo much a few years back  the first one was too hard, i think the third was maybe a little silly in places? either way, the second is the best

The trick is to reduce you air time and get the back wheel planted as quickly as possible.
Stage 1 should come in under 13.5 seconds, state 2 under 29.5 seconds, then you are on a good run.

Yeah, there are a couple of levels where you start rolling forward, but the clock doesn't start until you hit the gas.
