I think the last time I bought a physical cd was at a small gig at the start of this year, it could have been some time last year in fact. I normally buy it online, it's much easier to find niche music that way, or get stuff that isn't readily stocked in hmv or my local record shop (which although more specialised is occasionally out of stock) |

I buy more CDs now than I ever did, simply because I can usually test them out online first in some capacity, be that Spotify, the HMV site or elsewhere ![]() I only use MP3s as background noise (walking etc), they just don't sound anywhere near as good as CDs to my ears ![]() |

I don't think I've ever bought music online. You just can't find a lot of the niche stuff, and when you do it's usually more expensive and lower quality than the CD anyway. However, Last.fm, Spotify or Youtube are very heavily used. I also watch music TV quite a lot. For a lot of stuff, the often very expensive videos are better than the music so it's a total waste to buy or download without the pictures. |

ditto, everything on my computer has been ripped from CDs, most of which have been procured from amazon. i just dont like the idea of not having a lossless copy to transcode from, or not having a hard copy to back up from if tits rocket skyward. but i do like to use last.fm and youtube for the odd track that i dont have, or dont plan on buying ![]() im 18 BTW, unsure if that counts as "kid" or not |

I think the last time I bought a new CD was the Cure Joing the Dots collection, and that was about 3 (4?) years ago. Haven't bought any music since then - haven't downloaded any music illegally either. ![]() |

I bought Cars by Gary Numan from iTunes the other day. I watched Synth Britannia and it reminded me of some music I liked before the synth brigade turned to producing dance music. I’ve got a list of CDs I should buy. I’m just being frugal at the moment. |

I just bought the Stranglers The Collection 1977-1982. I am running through eBay and Amazon to find all the old albums that I loved. |

I don't buy any more music these days (or even "get hold" of it), I seem to have stopped listening to music altogether recently. |

The only new music I listen to is from podcasts and TV shows, other than that the sole source of music for me is my ripped CD collection. I have more than 25000 tracks so more than enough for most days. |

I don't think I've ever bought a music CD. Oh wait, there's a copy of Linkin Park's Meteora looking at me on the desk. Guess where I get my music from. ![]() |

Girlfriend got a CD from her daughter for her birthday... Mind you, she doesn't have a computer or MP3 player, so a CD is the only real option. ![]() |

I still buy the occasional CD but it depends on how much I like the artist. I never pay full whack for them and buy them off the internet. I occasionally pay for music I download but generally I don't *slaps wrist* Most artists now know they won't make money from selling music so a lot are concentrating on touring. Caz |
